Mill End Lofts

Project Description

New construction (49,000 sq.ft.) Lower level tenant spaces, including a restaurant space with upper level apartments. The project was designed with Air to Air Heat Pump Units.

Project Details

• Located on the corner of Center Avenue and Water Street in Down Town Bay City.
• Mill End Lofts is a combination of lower level retail spaces and upper level loft style apartments.
  • The apartments have balconies that overlook the Saginaw River and Wenonah Park.
• Apollo Engineering was hired to provide Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing construction documents for the apartments as well as the white box spaces for the lower level retail areas.
• Apollo designed in the owner’s designated light fixtures and plumbing fixtures into the project.
  • This design both met energy standards and adhered to the owner’s vision for the units.
• Apollo chose to use Air to Air heat pump units to both minimize the monthly utility bills as well as eliminate the need for gas burning appliances in the apartments.
  • This choice of a mechanical heating system resulted in minimal utility costs, as low as $35 a month for a nominal 1700 sq.ft. Unit.
